  1.                User Profile Match Instructions and Help File
  2.          
  3.          The User Profile Match portion of ProMatch is the most in-depth and
  4. feature rich part of ProMatch.  This instruction file will go into detail and
  5. explain some of the more hard to understand portions.  WARNING: YOUR REAL NAME
  6. WILL BE PUT INTO YOUR PROFILE AND OTHER USERS CAN VIEW IT!

  8. 1 - Enter Your Profile : You must enter your profile before you can scan or
  9.     quickscan other profiles.  It will start with a number of basic questions
  10.     such as your general appearance and preferences.  After these basic
  11.     questions your will be asked 5 questions each of the following categories:
  12.     Cultural, General and if you're allowed Adult.  Next will come a 28
  13.     question Personality Test. You give a value to the letter A and B depending
  14.     on how it describes you.  The value shouldn't exceed 5 for both.  Here's
  15.     a detailed explanation of the Personality codes : T F I E S N
  16.  
  17. INTROVERT (Code Letter   I   ):
  18. * Like quiet for concentration
  19. * Tend to be careful with details
  20. * Have trouble remembering names and faces
  21. * Can work on a project uninterruptedly
  22. * Interested in the idea behind the Job
  23. * Dislike telephone interruptions
  24. * Think before acting, may procrastinate
  25. * Work contentedly alone
  26. * May have some problems communicating
  27.  
  28. EXTROVERT (Code Letter   E   ):
  29. * Like variety and action
  30. * Dislike complicated procedures
  31. * Good at greeting people
  32. * Impatient with long, slow jobs
  33. * Interested in results; getting the job done
  34. * Do not mind telephone interruptions
  35. * Act quickly, sometimes without thinking
  36. * Like to have people around
  37. * Usually communicate well

  39. INTUITIVE (Code Letter    N   ):
  40. * Like solving new problems
  41. * Dislike doing the same thing over again
  42. * Enjoy learning new skill more than using it
  43. * Work in spurts with slack periods
  44. * Frequently jump to conclusions
  45. * Patient with complicated situations
  46. * Impatient with routine details
  47. * Follow good or bad inspirations
  48. * Tend to make errors of fact
  49. * Dislike taking time for precision work
  50.  
  51. SENSITIVE (Code Letter    S   ):
  52. * Dislike new problems unless there are standard procedures to solve them
  53. * Like an established routine
  54. * Enjoy using skills already learned more then learning new ones
  55. * Work steadily knowing how long it will take a complete a project
  56. * Usually work all the way through a project to reach a conclusion
  57. * Impatient when the details get complicated
  58. * Patient with routine details
  59. * Rarely trust inspirations
  60. * Seldom make errors of fact
  61. * Good at precise work

  63. THINKER (Code Letter      T  ):
  64. * May hurt people's feelings without knowing it
  65. * Like analysis and putting things in order
  66. * Tend to decide impersonally
  67. * Ignore people's wishes
  68. * Need to be treated fairly
  69. * Able to reprimand and fire
  70. * Tend to relate well to other thinker types
  71. * May seem hard-hearted
  72.  
  73. FEELER (Code Letter       F  ):
  74. * Aware of other's feelings
  75. * Enjoy pleasing others
  76. * Disturbed by office feuds
  77. * Decisions influenced  by likes/dislikes
  78. * Need occasional praise
  79. * Dislike telling others unpleasant things
  80. * Relate well to most people
  81. * Tend to be sympathetic/empathetic
  82.  
  83. So for example if your Personality profile is IST then you are an Introvert,
  84. Sensitive and thinker.  Conversely, other users profiles have this type of
  85. code and you can refer back to this file if you have any questions on what
  86. the codes mean.
  87. Next will be the 110 question "purity test". WARNING: SOME OF THESE QUESTIONS
  88. MAY BE OFFENSIVE TO SOME.  IF YOU'RE EASILY OFFENDED DON'T TAKE THE PROFILE.
  89. You may then upload a graphics file of yourself.
  90. You will have a chance to save or abort your profile when done.

  92. 2 - Scan Profiles : This will give you a detailed scan of other user profiles.
  93. Most is self explanatory; notice particularly though the part where it says
  94. They match YOUR profile by a certain percent and you match THEIR profile by a
  95. certain percent.  You can view the questionaires (cultural, general and adult)
  96. and download any graphics file attach.

  98. 3 - QuickScan Profiles : This will give you a one line short description and
  99. percent match for a user.  This is helpful when there are quite a few
  100. User Profiles and by noting the R#. (record number) in the QuickScan Profiles
  101. you can quickly do a detailed scan by the record number.

  103. 4 - Delete your Profile : This will Delete your profile
